Unknown Pilot Survival Knife

Here's a photo of a Pilot Survival Knife for sale now on eBay. I'm relatively familiar with PSKs, but this one is a bit of a puzzler to me. 
On one side of the Hex Pommel it's marked "MMB" and on another side "12 92". There don't appear to be any other markings at all (i.e. Camillus, Ontario, Utica, Milpar, etc.). The MMB & 12 92 may be after market stampings. The Sheath is also a lil different, perhaps an owner modification? Perhaps the base knife is Japan knock off, but they usually have some sort of marking.
Have any of you fellers run across anything like this? Any knowledge y'all can impart will be appreciated.

Did you check on the guard for a mark . I have had some in the past that were marked on the guard .

ive no clue on this one, but its a cool looking pilots knife almost custom looking ? i had a standard one back in the 80's and it was one of my favourites that i owned, wish i still had that and many others

Thanks guys. Well after reading all the referenced threads and following all the links, I find it all still clear as mud. But it does seem to be a legit PSK. It was pointed out the the second "M" in MMB is actually an upside down "W". I'd missed that. Seems a bit strange. Oh, FYI, I can see no markings on the guard either.
I've got 16 PSKs, mostly Camillus (largely because that's what I carried in Viet Nam), with a couple of Ontarios. I usually cut my collection date off at 1972. Owing to that and the asking price of the MMB, I think I'll stick with the Camillus ones. But it's fun to learn a little more about them and to try to figure out knife's little puzzles.

Can you post a link to the ebay listing for that MMB? I'm curious what it goes for. Sellers might expect, and get, more for one now that it's linkable on the internet and likely legit. I think 2 years ago, everyone thought they were asian knockoffs...I believe I paid $15 for mine.
I don't know of any marked anywhere but on the pommel, which makes sense as that was what specs called for at the time they were made. If this guy "Mike" would only call me, we might be able to get close to the whole story.

WOW... I can't believe someone would hope to get that much for a knife that no one in the collecting community that I'm aware of has ever found the story of. Maybe if they could provide that info and prove it's provenance...glad I picked up mine for $15!
