Hammer Brand overstrike??

This one caught my attention today in an antique shop.
I could tell that there were 2 tang stamps, but couldn't tell exactly until I got it home.
It's stamped faintly with an old Hammer Brand tang stamp (#10 from the image I borrowed from another post here on AAPK, thanks Drago and Gringo ::tu:: )
But, overtop that one is a large USA tang stamp.
Seems interesting to me, has anyone seen something like this before? ::shrug::
I was under the impression that the plain USA tang stamp was normally attributed to Colonial,
but Hammer Brand is Imperial.

Thanks
Keith

Very interesting, Keith!
That is an Imperial "boys knife" with a different blade in it. ::nod::
It should have a spear blade with the IKCO stamp.

Imperial used the large USA stamp on a lot of there contract knives.

I'd say it's one of a kind!!

The shell handled Imperial boys knife came with one or two blades and with a clip or a spear master.

Thanks for setting me straight on the different blades, Bill!
Are any of the clip blades stamped Hammer?
