All About Pocket Knives

Hi all i am new here as of today. Looking for some information on a case knife that is made in Kane, Pa., and happened upon this forum. Saw your post about kane, pa. i have this knife and wanted to find out if anyone knows the date these were made, and is the make case, the book i have doent show that case knives were made in kane,pa. so help please!!!! Thank You in advance........ps i saw alot of nice knives here today, so thank you all!!!!!!!!

Knives from Pennsylvania are my speciality. I would like to see a good photo of any and all tang stamps and a close up of the end of each knife to see if any tampering has occured. First impression is that it is a real CASE Kane, PA. Although several factors will tell. I suggest you read some of the Counterfiet sections to learn more about identification processes. Thank you for posting it. I would like to see more of it before commenting. Looking forward to it.

Swayne's 1976 revised shows four Kane markings but not the one you have so it could be a really rare one. You can trust Pa. Knives to give you the straight scoop along with all the others on this site.

You a fine example of a John D Case pocket knife, Made in Kane Pa between 1908 and 1911. This is nice piece and if you every decide to part with it, Please contact me first as it would be fine addition to my Pennsylvania knife collection. This knife was in no way made by the Kane Cutlery Company, although it may been manufacturered in the same building. The 1st Kane company was purchased by J D CASE after going under then reopened. I would say that yes it is the real thing. Not a common piece but the condition isn't the best. Hope this helps some.
