All About Pocket Knives

Well, I have only been collecting knives for about 4 months and I am proud to show how my collection is taking off. My 2 most inspiring interests are Fight'n Rooster and David Yellowhorse.

Nice collection so far CCW but I will give a nugget of info if I may. I see you have a few Celluloid handled knives in your collection. You need to store those away from all others in your collection. When they start to gas off they will destroy or harm the others as well as themselves.

Thanks Bighead. I have heard other references to celluloid gassing also. How long to celluloid handles gas because most of the celluloid handled pieces I have are pre-1982.

i agree, nice collection. i keep my cell handled knives in the open air. sometimes you can get lucky and nothing will happen.. but i wouldnt bet on it..

I ordered some acrylic desktop stands for them so hopefully in 3-4 days, they will all be displayed openly.

That's a nice collection you have going there. I like the display case you have them in and want to know where I can get some for my knives.

Please let me know, as I'm considering taking a router to my wall and putting hundreds of grooves in the sheetrock for them. However, my wife discourages this idea. Go figure!

That is a very nice collection. I too am impressed with the case, and would like to know more about it. Appears that it was custom made to the specific knives which are in it?

Thanks guys. The display case was purchased at a show from a retiring vendor and as soon as my acrylic stands arrive, it will be for sale for $55, which is what I paid.
