Robeson obviously made knives with other brand names on the tangs. That sort of thing went on with most cutlery companies. Probably more than we'll ever know.
The brands I've most often encountered are Continental Cutlery Co. and Fulton Cutlery (F. C. CO.).
Another brand seen frequently is Globe Cutlery Co. of New York. I've seen some Globe marked knives that were German imports. I have no idea if they are examples from the same company.
The most common Robeson pattern that I see marked with another brand name is the 642214 four blade scout/utility. I have them marked Hibbard, Spencer & Bartlett, Ka-Bar and Globe.
My Globe example is a bit used and the blades are down some, but the bone handles are nice.
I have just now upgraded the Globe knife through an Ebay auction.
Here are the Ebay photos of the knife I just bought for under $80.00. The bail needs some work, it should be more rounded.
Now, if I can just manage to sell the old one for the same amount, I'll be even.
