GEC's primitive bone is a unique material and no two knives look quite the same. Lately they've been putting on the stuff with extra character. Let's see some of your primitive bones!

GJ, I don't own any primitive bone GEC knives "YET" but, those of yours sure look good. They are giving me an appatite for a primititve bone handled GEC knife. Now see what you've done......there goes that set of new shocks I was going to put on the wife's car.

This one was from the first year they started with the cow bones.
It has some green in it.

Singin; is that dated 2007? Some PB 73's (36) were transition dated 2006 but came out in '07 from what I understand. But when did they start marking the blade with the PB etch?

Not sure Gunny. This one is stamped 2007, I do know that much. The etch came much later I'm sure. In the beginning there was just a note glued on the tube, about where the bones came from. Most of these bones are around 60 years old.

23's

Very nice Earl! I like the 23's so much I ordered another Primitive Bone linerlock. I wish they'd make a few more of the 73's in the same configuration as the recent 23's.

I think this is my favorite scale material from GEC. I believe they're the only ones who even have it.

I can't imagine more beautiful knives than the five in your line up Gunstock Jack. They are really something.

I,had to get one of those #23L,linerlocks,after looking at GunstockJacks,awesome collection___the primitive bone,they are using lately,looks a lot like the mammoth ivory***************

Funny how that works isn't it? Those primitive bone scales are really something.

Anyone know the production numbers on the Primitive Bone knives that came out in mid-February this year?
I'm especially interested in the number of #73s and #23s that were made.
