All About Pocket Knives

Hello,

I inherited my dads Case xx he passed in 1985 and I'm guessing that the knife is late 60's (not 100%). It has a number 087PE. Was wondering if you guy's could tell me the name and roughly the year.

looks like a Junior Stock knife, made between 1965-1970. Nice keep sake.

Here is a link to a page that is located in the Articles and Research section here on AAPK. It has a listing of the Case tang stamps to help you figure out the approximate date a Case knife was made.

This site has me looking around the house for more knives to see what may be hiding.

Is the knife made of bone? As you can tell I have a long way to go on my knowledge of knives.

Yes Mike, the handles are bone. Most would call that redbone, one of the finest looking bone color and jigging combinations ever put on a pocketknife IMO.
