Kissing Crane, Solingen Set Lee,Grant & Their Troops

This is a set of four high-grade knives from Kissing Crane issued to commemorate the
Civil War. All the knives have stag scales, brass liners and pinched nickel-silver bolsters.
All have an inlaid enamel shield and the main blades are etched. There were 1500 sets made and this set is serial number 1461. The two Generals' knives are slightly larger than
the "Billy Yank" and "Johnny Reb" knives but all show outstanding workmanship.
I do not store the knives in the display case because the backsprings are under stress with all the blades partially open. With Kissing Crane and so many others shifting production to China, I feel these will continue to increase in value. If not, I still enjoy owning them!

I sure wish they would still make them like that.
