All About Pocket Knives

Most of the knives in my small Queen Cutlery collection are current or recent production items, but I do occasionally look on eBay for older knives. Here's a few of my recent finds:
the first is a large folding hunter lock-back in the "Rawhide" series. The blade has a faint
etching that says "The Paul Revere" and "Rawhide No. 8450" and there is a picture of
Paul Revere mounted on a horse sounding the alarm that he is so famous for. The bolsters are nickel-silver and are quite thick, the scales are stag and are also thick.
The knife is more substantial and than a typical Buck 110 and the quality is superb. It came without a box or paperwork but is in virtually new condition and is one of my favorites.




A more recent find is this set of two "Rawhide" series knives in a vinyl covered steel clamshell
case. The small stockman's blade is etched " The Rawhide Series / No. 4210 440 Stainless" and
the medium sized lockback folder's blade is etched "The Rawhide Series / No. 4225 440 Stainless".
Both knives in the set have nickel-silver bolsters and brass liners and pins.
The foam that lines the interior of the box has degraded badly and the knives were stored in them
for a long time. The knives cleaned up nicely and except for some faint scratches on the lock-back's
front bolster they are in like-new / unused condition.

Spectrum, those are great looking knives. I wouldnt mind having them in my collection. ::envy::

Thanks for the comments, gentlemen- I just had to show these off! Until I joined a knife forum, I never knew about Queen Cutlery. I bought one of those Bluegrass Cutlery Case Bros. collectors knives ( a 63039 Sowbelly Stockman) and wanted to find more information about it. It was by far the nicest Case knife I had ever seen and I found out that it had actually been made by Queen Cutlery. Since then I've aquired a few Queen and Schatt & Morgan knives and have been pleased with them all.
