I just purchased this knife and have no idea when it was made or the value. Does not have knife ID number. It says Patented july 3 190 and can't make out last number on the locking mechanism. Any idea of age and value. All responses are appreciated.

Thanks,

If you can post a length,we can start to narrow down age and value.

looks like a 4 3/8 inch hunters pride with a liner lock that should have a 1906 patent.

Is it just me or is something wrong with that tang stamp?

Hey guys,
Thanks for the responses. I am away on work for another 2 weeks and don't have access to measure the knife. The tang stamp was pretty hard to read when looking at it up close and just assumed that as old as it is, the stamp looked pretty good for the age. Do you all believe it to be fake? I purchased from a guy that I buy from and came from a huge private collection of high quality knives.

Thanks,
