All About Pocket Knives

I have a Case XX 10 dot #5232 in mint condition, never used, carried or sharpened. 2-blade, 3 5/8" closed. Can someone give me more information and a value range? Thanks much for any help you can provide. Jim

If you click on the 'price guides' above and find your knife in the Case Knife Price Guide you will see an approximate market value. Other members may be able to tell you the book value or you can track similar knives on ebay. I hope this helps. s-k

I always worry about buying price guides written by people selling knives themselves.

But there are not a lot of choices out there. I will feel much better if Perry works on the new pocket guide as rumored.

I agree with you knifeswapper that is why I stated that I don't use price guides much. I feel that after collecting for a few years you can get a understanding of what a knifes value is. These values can also change from time to time and from one location to another.

I'm not really a collector of any particular older brand, but I certainly agree with your feelings about who publishes a price guide, and why.
I don't personally think they have much relevance, with the explosion that is eBay, except possibly for some of the older (50 years+) knives.
Lots of folks want it to be so cut and dried..."How much is my knife worth?"...it just isn't written in stone anywhere that I can find, that guarantees anything. It's worth what someone will pay at the time.
