zeke I would go with the first Schrade

As I told you in your many posts to get a Schrade befor they run out and the price goes to high.

Member to make sure its made in U.S.A.

Just keep in mind the Schrade Walden's are current production and not made by Schrade. Don't know if it was Camillus or Utica, etc.

These were....

I didn't get very excited about Schrade's until it was too late; now I find myself liking Camillus knives more and more

As I posted in a different thread...these are made by Bear & Son...not likely to be a collectable, IMO. Zeke, I suggest you don't move so fast, until you learn what is collectable, if that is your goal. I'll assume your REMINGTON with abalone, is an Asian knife, at that price. Not as collectible as U. S. made knives.

Concur; easier said than done with most folks. But similar to "measure twice - cut once". Junk knives are much easier to acquire than to get rid of, and taking your time will make the hobby a lifetime of enjoyment.

Howdy zeke,

Bill & knifeswapper are right on this matter, the new Schrade & Bear & Son knives are a dead Dog as far as a collectible in the hobby! ....If you want a knife that will grow in book & market value do some research first before you spend those hard earned $$$$$

I agree with the other guys. The cheap price on the china knives is enticing and I will admit some them are pretty nice looking, but I don't think they will ever be collectible or go up in value. Just my opinion and its worth what you paid for it lol.
