I coud use help identifing this bayonet

I should of posted this here first but im new to the forum and am still getting the hang of everything.

Anyways my dad brought this back with him when he was in the military. It has what looks to be some type of serial number as well as TWO military looking stamps with numbers under them. I can try to get a better pic of them here soon if needed.

the bayonete is a mauser/german/made all over the world, tiny unreadable stamps you mention are the clue as to where it was made and the weapon it was used with...mauser 98 is the most common.

so this is a more common type of bayonet? And thanks for that site. I couldnt find mine but got pretty close.

the bayonete you have came in several models...dependent on where it was made...the sawbacks are a bit harder to find...


rather common..BUT...some rare manufactures are worth dollars.
