All About Pocket Knives

I just saw a case knife that what stamped 75 cents . What about this designation ? Any info would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Could this be a Case Classic? Do you have a picture? Is this a toothpick? Just some things to think about.

I think that it is not 75 cents, but it should be 25 cents. ???????? That would put it in the early 1900's a photo would be great.

I stand corrected. my mistake. You are never to old to learn something. I did today.

It just so happens that I've been on a quest lately to learn more about Case Classics. I bought a copy of the Late Jim Parker's Case Classics book (it's very informative). Here is what I learned about the Case Classic 75 cent toothpick... (p. 166) It is part of a four piece set of different sized toothpicks. There were 175 made. It is the second largest at 5" The smallest was tang stamped 25 cents, the next size 50 cents, then 75 cents and the largest $1.00. The idea comes from the 1930s when Case came out with 4 different toothpicks that ranged in size and were stamped with the same 4 above mentioned prices. The tang stamp was the actual cost of the knives. Boy I wish my grandfather was as nuts about knives as I am!
