Rival Cuttlery Co.

I recently purchased a Christmas present for myself in the form of a pre-1900's stag handle folding hawkbill knife.The manufacturers mark is Rival Cuttlery Co. Prime.The blade one has an old skeleton key embossed on it.
I will scan a photo when I get in Sunday.I was just wondering if anyone could tell me about it's possible origin.

Not much info on this company in Goins book, other than it was made in Germany.

Can you see the manufacture you listed on the knife blade or were you told that's what it is? The reason I ask is that I have a Geo. Butler & Co. knife that has a skeleton key engraved on the blade. The tang reads: Sheffield
ART (in an oval)
England
On the blade it has Geo. Butler & Co. with the key engraved. This knife is a stag hawkbill too. If it looks like yours when you post pics, I'll try to get some clear pics of this one.

not a great pic sorry. Rival Cutlery Co Prime is all that it says for a maker.Thank you for any help friends.
