Thanks for the compliments guys. This is my only knife in Elk and I really like the look.
The 440C was a little harder to sharpen than the 1095 on all the rest of GEC knives, but not too bad. This is my first GEC in stainless and so far it's holding an edge quite nicely.

I've had my eye on the #12 toothpick in elk for a few weeks, probably pull the trigger on one next month for my b-day. This will be my 1st GEC also. Never liked the toothpick pattern much but this one calls to me!

The GEC toothpick was my first toothpick. I have 3 now. Here is my latest, along with my other American Elk GECs.

Great knives shown here.
Copperhead,
I've never been a big toothpick fan either, mostly because of how dainty they appear to be, but these GEC #12s are slim and sturdy knives.
I'll be putting mine to the test this trout season, I really love how traditional these knives look. I think it will be great, gutting a big old trout with my Elk Stag GEC in the beautiful woods of PA.
Here's mine.

Thanks for the pics johnny. How is the gec stainless? I'm torn between the white smooth bone in 1095.

Copperhead, so far I love the steel, it's pretty easy to sharpen and holds it's edge well, not as good as my 1095s do, but it's good.
I enjoy the lack of maintenance needed with the stainless, especially at trout camp, but I will have a few 1095s with me. So it will be fine, I just won't clean the fish with them.
The nice thing with both handle materials is that from just a few years of EDC, they should change color a bit, my white bone #23 darkened up and has a nice old used look, while the #12 lightened up.
I like it because it shows use.

Thanks buddy. Guess I will have to try one and save up for another. I do love the looks of the elk scales and acorn shield. I will be sure and post up some in use pics for whichever one I pick up first.

Were you guys aware that GEC is coming out w/ 72 lockbacks in either clip or wharncliffe configuration, WITH ELK SCALES !?!?!
They're making 50 of each, so there should be plenty this time around if Monk holds back a little

!!! Just kiddin' buddy!
