He musta found more of the fake parts for the fake old/new fakes he passes off a original. Overloading the market with these 45 pattens.

Making $100 bills on a copier would be a more honorable profession. Along with pimping.

It looks to me like if a person would go to the trouble of making these bogus knives, they would at least put forth some effort to put "Case" looking stag on the handles. The handles stick out like a sore thumb as not matching Case's style and color. He also need to manufacture some correct era shields, a little better fitment on the ends of the stag to the bolster wouldnt hurt either.

This guy must have of trunk full of this crap.
It makes me every time I see his listings.

Ah..................................OK, now I understand what's going on with this rh guy and his buddy. I had never taken the time to read his BS before.

Supposedly his friend purchased a bunch blades from Jim Parker before Jim passed. If this is true................no doubt these blades are leftovers from the Classic program and are not vintage blades from the tested period. Nevertheless................these guys are misrepresenting what they are selling.

If they were to come clean and just tell folks the truth.................then what the hell, at least a guy would know what he was buying.

It's a line of total HORSESH*T. Those blades are not older Case blades, nor are they newer Case blades, nor are they blades from the Case Classics series. They are modern phony blades pure and simple.

Every time I come across this seller with his story of "old parts" I think about something I read at one time. I have no idea what it was or where it was I read this but it quoted Jim P. of saying something like ......"in the 80's when United Cutlery (I'm thinking that's right) owned Case they BURIED all of the old parts and practically anything they weren't using at the time." I'm 95% sure this was in some book but who knows? Whatever it was didn't say why they buried the stuff, I just always figured they were maybe having work done on the factory and dug a big hole.

I tried looking up United Cutlery and didn't get very far, so I'm probably wrong on who owned Case in this period.

Does anyone remember reading or hearing this?

I have not heard nor read that story; I have however heard that when James sold WR he ended up with several semi trailers full of parts and knives that would keep them busy for
awhile. Stories are easy to come by though........................anyone that can type or speak has one or two.................................... history is made by the guys that print the books.

In Volume 6, page 199, of the Parker Knifes Traders Guide written by Jim Parker he writes :American Brands burned two truck loads of great old XX and Tested parts and buried enough brand new knives that were production over runs to creat a new iron pit" I have no idea if this is true of course, just got to looking as I remembered reading it also. Who knows what really happened.

cope, I think United had Boker USA there for a while. My belief about R H Stranger and these knives is exactly what Steve wrote. 2 words can cover these knives and their maker and seller "FAKE" and "SCAM". If you go to a knife show or flea market your going to hear stories. Stories about JP himself is enough for someone to write a book on, then add in the stories about "old" Case XX and Tested XX knives and parts getting away from the Case factory without JP involved in them and there's another book. Anyone remember the one about the knife company putting all of their switch blade-push button knives in the concrete floor of the extention of their factory after the new law about switch blades passed? Then there is the story of the dump truck load of assorted old and contract marked knife parts being sold as scrap from another knife company but, the parts never made it to a scrap yard. Some stories are probably true and many others are not. Either way, they are out there and they are going to be told.

I've heard many of these "tales" of Case knives and parts. Most, if not all, are more fiction than factual.
The bottom line on this seller's parts are, they are just poor counterfeit junk.

FYI: Companies in the 60's - 70's have been known to bury things though. My cousin came apon the old Whammo factory somewhere out in So Cal, and they were knocking down buildings and digging up the grounds when they hit a hole full of Super Balls. Yep, the blue ones we used to have when we were kids. They were rejects, with mold release marks and injection pin dimples, but otherwise perfectly good.

She went to a local army surplus store, bought a duffle bag, and went back out there later that night and filled it up with 300 + of the things. She saved em for her sons 6th birthday party, lucky kids !

It is well documented in photos that KABAR mixed their factory second knives into concrete when they were doing construction projects around the factory. There are photos of these knives being uncovered in the 70's.

Tom (olderdogs) that's where I read that. As far as it being true, who knows. I just think about that everytime I hear "old Case parts". I can almost believe it because of the crappy '80's knives that Case put out. These owners would have been capable of anything.

I heard that one years ago. It was Queen that buried the switches in a sidewalk the way I heard it. Happened in late 1957 or sometime in 1958 I believe. Switches got outlawed for interstate commerce in '57 resulting in the wholesale dumping.
