Thought I'd start another thread for the
other Sears knives. I recently picked up this tiny 2 1/4" Mother of Pearl pen knife marked Henry Sears Co Prussia. Anyone have a bit of info on the company? From what I've found they changed to Henry Sears & Son in 1883, which should put this before that era???

Hi seems that way from the entries in Goins book. You may have this already but if not. Henry Sears and Co founded 1865 in Rockford IL. First used the trademark 'Queen' about 1870. The Prussia mark used from 1865 until 1879... appears you have a nice old knife from that period. Operated a factory in Conn for a few years 1879-1881 and then moved to Chicago in 1885. Bought out by a Minnesota hardware co in 1897. All from Goins. Maybe others have more information.
