Boker - A first collectible

Well, I finally got around to taking pictures last night and I thought I'd show off my first real collector knife. This is the dual tang stamp 1907 style Boker Canoe. I hope the pictures are good enough to show you the details that might interest you.
This is the first knife I've bought that will not be used. I bought it because I like canoes, and this had a certain appeal. It is a red bone model.

. I like Boker knives. I have some tang stamp whittler knives, most of the grand canyon series and a few other assorted Bokers. They look nice and I think they are well made. The blades on those I believe are carbon steel which makes a good user, but I think it is great for a frist collector piece. Are you going for the series of canoes? There is a green bone and stag also I believe. Good luck.

My first collector knife was a canoe. Specifically it was a Case Blue Scroll canoe. I'd say that was probably the knife that got me hooked.

I can see your finger prints all over the blade.
I was looking at just a knife and thinking of getting one.
How does it fell in your hand? Send it to me let me fell it for a little bit ok.

In general I'm not a big fan of canoes but this one is the exception. I highly recommend a blue scroll canoe. There's something about that 1970's Case stag that just beats everything else I've ever seen.
Regarding the feel in the hand, that's one of the biggest virtues. It has great heft, and the finish on the stag is wonderful. The big single backspring makes for very stiff action, and the blade are very secure when open.
Did I mention I recommend one of these? Definitely one of the most satisfying knives I have.
