Camillus Curiosity

Here is something I picked up off ebay recently. According to the seller, this is a Camillus knife built on contract for Craftsman that was unfinished when the plant closed. I bought it as a curiosity and a reminder that all things pass.

I have some of those as well.
It doesn't take a lot to finish them off.
If you have a belt sander to knock down the rivets and take off the rough edges then you can finish it up easily by hand sanding it.

That's very interesting. I'd love to find some of them. Do you plan to finish it or leave it as is?

I plan to leave it as it is. I'm sure there are a lot more finished ones than these work-in-process ones. These curiosities are fun to show to people, nobody has ever seen them before. It really emphasizes that some human being actually made these things, they didn't just get extruded out of some machine like most of the plastic stuff we buy nowadays.
