Case Knife Price Guide???

Is the Case Knife Price Guide complete? I have a few Case knives that don't apparently appear on the list. They are:

1. Case XX 6347PE that apparently was made in 1975 (CASE XX over U.S.A. over 5 dots). This knife is mint and appears to have chrome vanadium blades. It has nickle/silver pins.

2. Case XX 6347SS that I'm guessing is from the 90s (CASE with long tail C over U.S.A. over 3 dots). This knife is very good/excellent with stainless steel blades. It has copper pins. Shield has "Case XX".

3. Case XX 63087SS that apparently was made in 1983 (CASE XX over U.S.A. over 7 dots). This knife is good/very good and stainless steel blades. It has copper pins.

So are these knives counterfeit since they don't appear on the list?

I also have a Case XX 6208 made 1965-69 with 9 dots. Can someone tell me what year the dots indicate it was made or point me in the direction to where I can find it myself. Thanks.

:? Hi, I'm new to this group or any for that matter! Anyhow, I came across an almost new case 6265sab with wood handle. Upon looking through the history on this site I was able to ascertain that it appears to have the "old" 65 pattern with the lanyard hole drilled which would date it at 1964. Is this possible? thanks, paul

Hi jwm and pervin,

Welcome to the forums!!!

jwn..
No, the price guide project is not complete. There are a tons of knives missing from the list. See the price guide FAQ

Have you read this page about dating knives...

Actually, I believe Case put lanyard holes in some of the 65 pattern Folding Hunter from 1964 to at least the mid 1980's.

Bryan,
I had not seen the price guide FAQ. After reading it I might be able to add something to the price guide. I bought the Case XX 6347PE that I mentioned in my original message off of eBay on 11 December 2003 for $39.99. This knife was just one from a box of them which was found in a storage room in Birmingham, Alabama. The knife is in new condition and still has the Case paper wrapped around it. I actually bought the Case XX 6347SS at the same time from an eBay seller from Marion, North Carolina for $15.50. At the time I was trying to replace a knife that had been stolen when my home was robbed and I really wasn't thinking about collecting knives. I'll get my wife's camera and take a few pictures.

Yes I did see the page about dating knives. It helped some but the stamp on the Case XX 6347SS doesn't appear on the page.

Thanks for welcoming me to the forum.

jwm1960,
Just tossing this into the mix here.... :D

A 6347SS is listed in Parker's Guide ( I stopped with #6 ) on page #263. That sounds like a 3 7/8" bone scaled stockman, with stainless blades, from 1997. There was a CV version with bone scales, as well.
There is no RIGHT price, only what someone will sell/buy for at the moment, I believe, but it sounds like you did real well on that knife...
