Just to put a picture with a knife...here's Adrian Harris the founder of Tennessee Knife Works which made the Colonel Coon Knife. Adrian attended a military school and because of his southern talk some of the northern boys began calling him "Colonel Coon", that gave him the name for his knives when he started.
