I rarely carry a slipjoint but saw a Case Canoe that caught my eye the other day. Does any have any opinions about the blades ( pen and spear)? It just seems these lack the tip that I am used to.
Thanks as always.

I carried stockmans and trappers for most of my life. The same thought went through my mind when I started messing with old spear point jacks.
I'm carrying an OLD Challenge jack now.
The small blade works great for cleaning my fingernails, sharpening pencils, or whatever, and that big old spear is pretty handy on about anything else I've found.
Give it a try.

I am a Spearpoint (and mini Spear ie: Pen) Blade fan. I have found nothing yet in MY experience that a Canoe can't handle.
In fact I am all about any blade with a lot of belly such as a Spear or the blade shape of a SodBuster.
