Something Very Important Y'All Should Read

This isn't about knives, which means that this is exactly the wrong place for this posting. However, this is the most VIEWED area and since this is about our members, I believe it deserves a lot of folks looking at it.
A number of our members (I don't know how many exactly and the ones I do know, I won't name) are out of work. We all know that the economy sucks and we also know that a man just doesn't feel good about himself when he is WILLING and ABLE to work, but cannot find a job. There are lots of people here on AAPK, which means that we have a very large network - people who know places, and people who know people. Those of us with jobs can lend a helping hand to those without them by helping them get a foot in the door at companies across America.
What I propose is a top level discussion group on the website (which means it isn't buried on page 55) where people can post jobs they know of from their companies, people who are looking can post their qualifications and maybe even resumes, connections can be made and even a place where people can share ideas for getting by with less. This type of effort is the very essence of what it means to be a "community."
Well I'm not gonna keep talking, I throw the idea out there for public consumption and to see if there are a number of other "regulars" on here who think the idea ain't half bad.
