I just noticed that your jack has a different style tang stamp than all the rest of 'em, mine included. INTERESTING.

That electric stuff works as long as you send the power company a check every month. LOL

Now that's putting out the volts! The scales on the big congress are very handsome. The curved bar shield is standout!

The Ivory Whittler & the little MOP that I have just have the curved Electric stamping. The EO Jack is marked is marked Walden, NY.

I wonder, if the two without NY on them, indicate that they were made during the Friedmann & Lauterjung years?

Here is an Electric from Walden that has me puzzled. The bone looks like NYK, the knife is very clean Inside and out (not cleaned). The blades are full with no sign of wear. The knife shows no sign of any pocket wear. The blades show some signs of rust removal. It just looks too new. I bought it from an experienced collector for a very good price, could it be a fake? Cannot find the rivet in the shield, but can see it on the inside. I want your opinons. Don't worry about my feelings, I just want information

The knife is good, a nice one. Electric Walden and Wallkill River Works were both secondary brands of the New York Knife Co. You can find examples of all three brands in similar patterns and the bone looks alike. Eric

It seems weird that this knife would have these handles..
Both blades are stamped electric cut co,walden,ny
Pin looks to have been replaced maybe.... but it's tight and
opens and close with a snap.

Fresh from the flea market this morning. Tang stamp reads Electric Cut. Co. Walden, NY. Very strong snap on both blades I'm not sure when this knife is from, 1920s? Does anyone have any background on this company?

Boy, I'd say Mike. There's just something about that old bone that they just can't duplicate today. I've got a couple of those old jigged bone handled knives and I look them over all the time. I guess I'll always be an "old knife" junkie.

Here's one I got for 8 bucks at an antigue store. Still has great snap, half-stops, and you gotta love match-striker pulls. This one is like the one posted by Cattaraugus57. Slim.

Charlie I'm not sure who actually made that Continental. The stamp is a curved CONTINENTAL, N.Y. in the middle and CUTLERY CO. at bottom. The jigging looks like Schrade to me. Slim.
