Hope Case does me right, sent a 1970 64052 in need of a front handle, a 1970 02471 utility knife (same frame as a 47 or Muskrat, has a clip and a divot-repair tool), needs handles, a 1970 Peanut needing a master blade (the one on it is fair but horribly pitted), and an '80's 6318 near mint, but needing a badge. Would like to get out for around $75 or less.......anyone w/ a bad experience w/ Case repair center?????

Just noticed in my subject I had "Brodford" instead of Bradford.......sorry about that. Hope I don't call it worse if/when I get the knives back!!

bamabronco,
Hope you had a talk with em before you sent them your knives? ....Johnnie is right, they glue the shields on now but since you sent them to the repair center they may pin it but don't know if they do things differently there or not? ....$75 or less, I don't know about that either my knifer friend? ....That is why it is a good idea to talk with someone there first before you send any knife in for a repair job, only my own personal thoughts here friends! ....Give us a holler back when you get your knives back old pard to see what kind of prices & service you received, OK?

hey, that's where mine went. no pins, no charge as well. i dropped a mint 74 canoe in the open position on my rug and it caused a binding. they repaired for nothing. i sent a xx 32048 with bacon for handles and they replaced with new shield and returned my old shield. no charge. if i need an older knife repaired again i will send to someone who will re-pin the shield.

Thanks for the replies, I had emailed them, they sent me a price list ($10 for a blade, $12 for a handle), didn't sound too bad.....maybe it will work out. Anxious to see what they do to the 1970 64052, the emblem was pinned on, the 1970 4271 utility knife had white plastic handles, I wanted bone handles put on, hope it looks ok and doesn't have the cheezy new emblem!!
