Maybe an early Case, possibly a Case Bradford? Looks a lot like a 6228 pattern.

Sure looks like an early Case but I'm guessing it's a Clauss as there are no markings on the shield and Clauss contracted Case to make some knives. Some say if you turn the shields over it will say Case.

I'm gonna guess that Miller Bro`s will read the jigging and nail it
As for me, I think it's an old U.S. contracted Case

I have a couple of Robesons that have plain oval shields and I know for a fact that if you turn them over they will say Queen on them .

I would be very surprised if this was not made by Case. Looks like tested era to me.
I'm liking the "made on conract" theory.
Catt, would you be willing to check the other side of that shield?

by Miller Bro's
Case Tested Era, same parallel jigging pattern.
Same Shield they used on their knives.
See pictures below.

Well Miller bro's I'd say you've nailed it!
the jigging pattern looks exact as well as the shield.
However I won't be turning the shield over!
thank you
