All About Pocket Knives

ya'll done got me worried about knives now. i thought only arrowheads had this much counterfitting. i bought this case the other day also but it an't been shipped yet. the auction # is 200509118899 at ebay. a 79 trapper. after the talk about the other case i.d. and reading a little about all the other monkeyed knives i went back to look at this auction and it looks like i can see the pin at the end of the knife and the back side kinda doesn't look like the face side. is it me or does anyone else see anything wrong.

You have no reason to be concerned about this knife as it is all original . However , this is a seller that you must watch carefully because he does upon occasion list knives that are NOT authentic . Welcome to the site . In the future you may want to ask for an opinion prior to bidding . P.S. It is not unusual to see the pins in the bolsters . Most likely you can buff the bolsters with a good metal polish and the pins will disappear .

Actually mis-matched handle slabs should probably be a validating point of late 70's - early 80's Case knives ;>

They will usually counterfeit a knife that pays to do so. Older knives that book for very high. Not much incentives to counterfeit $50-100 knives as it is still expensive work.
