All About Pocket Knives

Hey guys,

After collecting for some time I find myself in need for some of that protective knife tissue. I'm sure I have seen more than one thread here but can't seem to find anything now. Perhaps because I am not aware what to call it. The Gec type paper would be my choice but another would work well too.

I use wax paper on mine BH---don't know if that's good,but it works

I've just heard it called "oil paper", but I've seen it for sale on ebay listed as knife paper.

I have heard it called an onion skin because it looks like the stuff you peel of an onion before you can slice it. I just buy the tissue paper for wrapping christmas presents. This way you can use as big a piece as you want.

I'm pretty sure Brownell's (the gunsmith supplier) has this stuff.

I've also bought the brown paper from a guy on Ebay. He lists it from time to time. I don't see it listed today, but if you check in the next couple days, I'll bet it shows up again. Search under "knife tissue".

Unless you want the printed stuff, I just order a small pkg of Acid-Free tissue paper online for around 10 bucks when I need some (20 sheets to a package). The ones I get come is 30 X 40 inch sheets and I just cut them to size.

I think Container Store has it but it can likely be found cheaper.
