Did I get ripped off again?

Original 1990s Case Knife Display Cabinet with the 7 Yellow Case knives intact: 3137, 32087, 3254, 3220, 3207, 3318, and 31048.
Item number: 300033229419

3 of the boxes are dated as 01/17/01,11/07/01,03/12/00.
One box browner in color and has a wood grain 3-blade pkt. 3318shsp.
4 boxes look ok all dated in the98s but sod buster jr. 3137
1 box peanut 3220 04/14/98 looks right.

All the knives look real good and the case is good too.
Will I have to find 4 knives with the dates of 98's to make the right?
So they all are the 1990s.

I do not know much about Case knives yet. But I fell I got RIPPED OFF again. For what I thught I was getting.

Let me know your fellings PLEASE.

ken, the display is a store display and probably had knive sold and replaced. if you think you paid too much, join the club. we all have paid too much for knives we wanted. the mixed dates are not a problem unless they (the seller) lied to you. i think you have a very nice display there. i have always liked the yellow composition knives.

just checked your sale. i think that's a good price for what you got. i sold a similar cabinet for $179 by it self.

jonet143 ; You all ways come in makeing me fell good thanks.

The ripp off is that I thought that all the knives were made in the 1990s.
The boxes tell they were not. Did you catch that I got 9 boxes for the 7 knives?? How can you tell when the knife was realy made? Thats more inporant to me than just the wrong box. If I know the knifes were all made in the 1990s then all I need to do is ask the seller for the right boxes.

ken the case knives have a dating code on the tangs. they might or might not match the boses you got. the display you bought was probably in a store and knives were sold out of it and replaced with new stock. some of the boxes may have stayed with the display and some may have gone with sales. the seller probably gave you all he had for the display. just match the pattern with the boxes.
