NYS AG Joins NYC DA in Prosecuting Expanded "Gravity Knife"

Today, my knife brothers, I am incensed. The NYSAG has started issuing subpoenas to hardware store selling knives in the State of New York, directing them to cease and desist selling - and to remove from inventory all tacticals, one hand and assisted openers of any form including Swiss Army One Hand Sentinels and Trekkers. This is a clear abuse of authority and a purposeful misinterpretation of the knife laws. I thank god my suppliers are willing to work with me in this - but I just shipped back more than a thousand dollars worth of innocent knives.

I hope someone can stand up to these bastids. I think what they are doing is so wrong and misguided - and it's bad for the industry.

It's going to take litigation to get this stopped IMO.

Good luck my friend.

It'll be plastic spoons only for all of us soon enough by the look of it

I am not from the US, and only follow developments in US knife law a bit - but I thought there was recent legislation (an amendment to something else) sparing most OHO from falling foul of the gravity definitions

Or is this just Vance picking a fight so as to challenge that amendment in court ?
