Hi j5109. The tang stamp (previous pic) looks like Northfield Knife Co? If so, that is an old one. Northfield knife co was based in Conn. Goins lists the dates as 1858-1919. Are there any other marks? Maybe someone else knows more about it. :) s-k

There was also Northfield that picked up in 1931, after the original company was sold, and the Clarks then went bankrupt in 1929.
That version (Henry Gill from Sheffield) of Northfield was in business until 1964. I didn't find any mention of that EXACT marking in anything I've got.

nice knife! I like it a lot. Cannot offer any more about it, although the collector value would be rated high.

Of course Jim Parker picked up on this old trade name a few years ago, making knives rated as low.
