All About Pocket Knives

My question is does Case send any of their collectors knives to Frost for the blade etching? I have heard this before but I am not sure. If this is true where do they send them? Is this done here or overseas? Thanks for any response.

i believe case etches their knives inhouse in the u.s. other distributors of case knives could etch them aftermarket for special orders or commemoratives.

Case does almost none of the commemoratives you see on the market. For the most part Frost Cutlery buys the cheapest available required Case model and re-handles it, etches it, puts it in a nice box, and sends it to market. If you read the paperwork that comes with them, they always seem to say they are a "Genuine Case Collectible" but never states they are a finished product of Case Cutlery.

Other individuals have special comemmoratives produced for certain events, etc. There are companies that will etch them and put them in fancy screenprinted clamshell packaging for reasonable prices.
