All About Pocket Knives

Here's the other knife I picked up in MO last week. Nothing really special just a well used old Case. Snap on the main blade is gone and the blade is worn. I thought it would come back some if I oiled it. I was wrong.

Reckon why all those "Office Knives" and "Corn Knives" were handled in French Ivory (Faux Ivory)? Anybody got a guess?

Knice old knife. The scales on office and corn knives were originally real ivory so faux ivory was a less expensive substitute while still maintaining the traditional style. s-k
