I posted this pic of a Case loom fixer from 1965-69 in another thread. it apperas to be in good shape with plenty of snap and the blades don't appear to have been sharpened. I would like to remove the paint from the handle and blades and rust and tarnish from the blades. Would appreciate suggestions.
thanks,
Teleman

Acetone should get rid of the paint in short order.

Thanks guys, I'm just concerned with using something too strong or abrasive that would do more harm than good.

mineral sprits and toothpick, then hot soapy water, dry with compressed air, then flitz polish then wax, don't scrach those blades with metal. good luck.
