Future of the #23 slipjoint skinner Pioneer?

I thought I'd just tuck this question away here, in case someone has any info now or later

I picked up a fine UN-X-LD Northfields #23 Pioneer the other day. THe slipjoint skinner version.

There are lots of spey blade versions of this knife, and they are excellent things too. But this slipjoint skinner has really got to me, and I'd like another sometime

They are totally rare though. In fact I can only see one on any of the sites, dressed in a red, white and blue acrylic.

Does anyone have any knowledge of what GEC's plans might be for this knife.

I tend to carry large slipjoints out of preference and, for me, this one is function perfected! :):D Just that I'd rather like it in ebony or boxwood or something

There have been many of them, but a good portion of what are still available are linerlocks. I have sold several Genuine Stag and Red Stag models lately as well. Also, have the jigged bubinga model.

You can see who the current distributors are with GEC on their Distributors

There have been some come and go for one reason or another. Be sure to check out the current participants or all you will see is the older items. Also, find a distributor that has been with GEC for as long as possible so you can see the full array of their product (going back to 2007).
