I need ideas / pics for a custom knife I'm getting made

Hey all. My Uncle makes custom knives, and told me a while ago that he would make me a nice fixed blade knife for around $150. He'll probably make me something worth double what I pay him, because he's a nice guy.
He's been into knives for decades, is a retired metallurgist from a steel mill, and has his own forge in his shop. The last I talked to him, he was into making damascus. I know he's gotten some exotic wood, and I think mammoth tusk, etc. for handles.
Anyway, I'm looking for some pics of your similar style knife, and some general ideas which I may not have thought of. I'm thinking of a 5 to 6 inch blade, probably some nice hardwood which shows some striping, or interesting grain lines, or possibly bone. Probably no fancy engraving, but maybe some interesting metal spacers, etc, around the handle.... I'm not sure of the proper terms.
The knife won't get used much, except maybe a little meat carving during camping trips, etc. I mostly want it to look sleek, hold a great edge, and feel good in the hand. I need ideas for general shape, blade type, type of steel, etc. I may possibly borrow some ideas from some ancient knives / daggers, etc.
In the early stages here.... any ideas / pics greatly appreciated.
