I WOULD VENTURE TO SAY THAT THIS KNIFE IS CORRECT AS CASE WAS MAKING THIS SAME KNIFE FOR CLAUSS AROUND 1920 WHEN THEY WERE MAKING THEIR OWN 62031 GREENBONE . EITHER THE CASE EMBLEM WAS INADVERTENTLY PUT ON THE CLAUSS OR THE CLAUSS BLADE WAS INADVERTENTLY PUT IN THE CASE KNIFE . HOWEVER , IT IS A JACK KNIFE NOT A CONGRESS .

That's a Tested era shield. I lean more toward the putting the Clauss blade into a Case frame.

Edit: This had me thinking all day. I'm pretty sure that when Case was making the Clauss branded knives, they turned the Tested era shields over to where the shield was blank, without showing the Case name on it. Perhaps an employee forgot to turn the shield on this knife.
