A new knife and of recent manufacture?
I think I would send it back to the factory and see if hey wouldn't replace it.

If the liners are creased or stretched they might have to be replaced.
It could be a bit spendy.

man that stinks but I bet someone here can help you. Did you buy it thiking you were gettin a mint knife or was the price to good to be true?

yeah over the years I have learned to take my time and really look over the knife I am buying. I used to rush to buy it before someone else did and more than a few times I found issues when I got it home. I still hate it when I hear stories like yours but there still are some honest cool people around.
