All About Pocket Knives

So here it is mocked up, Still need to do some sanding before heat treat. I went ahead and made another blade, the plunges look alot better (I think), and the last one I had some trouble with the closed sear hole. So there ya go, if anyone's wondering if you can make a blade on a cheap harbor freight 1x30, you can.

will post pics when it's all done, now onto the shell puller.

Tell you the truth I like the spring cover, I have one thats fine I just thought that one added alittle "touch" you know?

Here it is all "finished". I can be alittle hard on myself with my projects, so I'm calling this done and moving on. I'm pretty happy with the finished results for my first time ever fabricating a blade. I lost some detail on my plunge cuts and a few other snafus here and there. I didn't go crazy on the sanding and polishing cause I use most if not all my knives at some time or another so it's gonna get scratched up anyway, plus as mentioned above I already lost some detail. So thats it, pretty happy and ready to move on to the shell puller and I expect to do better from what I learned on this one. I am also a tad handicapped with the tools I have on hand, but it can be done. Heres some before afters for ya.

Wow! I read the post and saw the first pic and, I must say, you had me scratching my head a little. Then I scrolled down, and again WOW! Nice job. I think the engraving adds a little character also.

What was the tang marking on the original blade? If you want to make a couple $$ let me know, i'll buy the old one.

Kaleb if memory serves correct, I think it just said Solingen. Maybe can work something out.
