After reading the forum for a few days, I've decided to buy a Case single blade locking folder. Been looking at the Russlock, big Cheetah & mid folding hunter. Which one would you suggest first? Pls post some pics of yours.
As far as handle colors go, I prefer more masculine colors. Black is ALWAYS good though the tan rattlesnake looks very appealing.
Right now, I'm leaning towards this drop point Russlock (image off the web)

Thats a good looking knife. I wasn't aware that they made any with a drop point blade.

If this knife is intended as a user the mid folding hunter would probably be the most comfortable to carry in your pocket. The russlock is a unique & interesting style, but would probably be the least comfotable to carry. But- It will be your knife so go with that you like the best. They are all nice patterns.

From what I understand the drop point Russlocks are few and far between.
I don't think you could go wrong with any of your choices. But I would go with the mid folding hunter first. I like the pocket clip and thumb stud. But thats just my preference. I do have a Case bros. russlock that is excellent in it's fit and finish. Can't say anything about the Cheetahs, I do not have any... yet.

. Wow, quite surprised by 2 votes for the mid-folding hunter so far, almost didn't include it!
What's the opening resistance like on the Russlock & mid-folding hunter (they gotta find a better name for it)? I've handled a few with slip joints & they seem to take quite a bit of force to open. Here's a pic of one that belongs to a friend.
