All About Pocket Knives

Hello all. I was just wondering if anybody knows where I might find a spare shield to fit a Schrade 708. I recently acquired a second one of these little knives and it lost its shield somewhere along the way. It should be a bomb style shield with with no writing. If anyone can point me in the right direction I would appreciate it.

I have a large selection of Schrade shields. They are all new old stock , straight from the factory. If possible, some dimensions and possibly a picture of your knife, and I think I can get you fixed up.

.....and here you had us believing you only liked Remingtons.

Hey RC thanks for offering to help. I have attached a few pics, I'm not sure how well you can see the shield divot. The shield is about 11mm long by 5mm wide in the middle. I have also attached the picture of my other knife with its proper shield.

Heres the closest match I could find. It may be a little wide, but it wouldn't take much to work it down. If you think you can use it, send me your address in a private message and I'll send it right out.

After lots of the following:
Grind & check, Grind & check, Grind & check.
I have whittled the shield provided by remington collector down to fit my little 708. I may not have a future as a shield smith, but I think I did okay. Thanks for the help RC.

nmikash; The sheild looks good but the red rug and the black handles looks even better than your first time showing of it.
