GEC #73 question

Hey guys, I've been looking at the single bladed GEC # 73 without the linerlock. I love the blade shape, but am having trouble finding a handle that I like.I see the two bladed varieties, and the larger #23 with handle materials that I like, but not the single bladed #73. I prefer a smooth handle. Do they make this model in the buffalo horn, or the golden rod? I also see that they have a smooth bone that looks almost white, and one that is more tan/ brown. Do they make the #73 in the tan/brown smooth bone? What other options do I have as far as smooth handle materials. Thanks

check with mike latham at
http://www.collectorknives.net
or with bill horn at
http://www.cumberlandknifeworks.com
good luck, have heard many positive things about both of these
guys, but due to a lack of budget have only done business
with one of them. I would buy from either with confidence.

Thanks guys. If I can't find a smooth handle that I like, I'll go with the burnt stag. It seems that they offer more options on the liner lock models. I've seen smooth blue and rosewood in liner models.

I've got a single blade 73 w/ bocote scales.
Got it off collectorknives, if I remember right.
Love that thing.

Forgive me Ken, but yellow is just not a favorite color of mine.
But that knife may well change my outlook on yellow! That is awesome!

Yellow isn't my favorite color, but that is a nice knife. I'm torn between the bocote and the brown bone. Anyone have their brown bone? I'm wondering what it looks like in person. Also, is Gec the only company making knives in this style?

Goldenrod (composite) and Canvas are both nice, but 2Bladed models...
In smooth bone, single bladed, non-locking, there should be some white and frontier bones out there....
