All About Pocket Knives

*UPDATE* Folks, it seems I've made a rather large faux pas regarding the below knife. After talking with several fellow collectors, as well as seeing that someone has also been in contact with the seller with the same conclusion, it seems that the knife IS legit. There is a pin hole in the handles that lack a shield on a goodly number of these knives, and the reason there is a missing handle pin on the mark side is because the shield pin would have taken its place. I'm not sure WHY this occured on so many knives, but the numbers don't lie. I'm pretty embarassed over all this, but I wanted to make it known, and I do apologize to the seller. Think I'll just stay out of the counterfeit spotting business

Guys, don't bid on this contraption, it's got an extra pin on the pile side, no shield, massively short (and narrow) pen blade. It's a cleaned/parts knife if there ever was one. Of course he'll never admit it:

It could be Brett himself that's a member, which is a good thing! He will know his auctions are being watched and reported.

There are many questionable sellers on ebay; I'm hoping our forum eventually causes them all to clean up their listings!

It's working folks, keep up the pressure.

But; we can do it without name calling and insults. Can't we?

Some poor guy is gonna spend his hard earned money on that knife and the guy selling it doent give two craps that he ripped him off!

I seriously want to start a fanclub for this guy! it's absolutely amazing how people keep buying this stuff.

Keep them coming - we all make mistakes and you admit it when you do make an error. Eric, you are very helpful when it comes spotting fakes and telling us why they are counterfeit. I don't think anyone expects you to be right 100% of the time. Well, you made a mistake and owned up to it with an apology to the seller. You are a valuable resource for identifying knives that are counterfeit. Good Karma! You did the right thing - as always!

No problem as far as I am concerned. You made you apology, I think things are all good.

Brett is far from the worst of the "Bad-Sellers" on ebay, but he does put through a stinker every now and again.
I actually bought a knife from him once, but it was a pattern I knew & could tell that it was ok.
If Brett has a knife I am interested in I usually check it out very throughly & then check it out again before bidding so that I am sure it is correct.
I suppose a guy should do that with all knives on ebay if you don't know the seller & know that he will make things right if you have a problem.
