what's good for polishing blades with etching

HI All, can anyone tell me whats good for polishing blades with etching on them..something that will not damage the etching...I have flitz and miricle cloth. but don't want to use them until I know if they are safe for etching. any advice is much appreciated...thanks Tom

Most people on here like a good patena on an old knife. Can you show pictures of the knife and why you want to polish it?

Depending what the etch is, sometimes you can cover it with a piece of tape cut carefully to the right size. But I agree with leaving it alone myself. Mark
