I am looking for a good usa made ASSISTED OPENER . Any suggestions?

What style, size knives do your currently carry? Price range?
Do you like steel/aluminum/G10 handles, etc ..?

There are many selections available for A/O, and in saying that I would recommend Kershaw first.
They were the first to implement it and are still the best at doing it.

Looks like you picked up a Cyclone, nice choice.

SOG makes a nice TOUGH fairly inexpensive aok. $50-$75

Kershaw has quite a few choices. Check out the Scallion, Chive, Shallot, and Leek(as mentioned above). I've handled all of them and they are great. They are perfect for EDC if that's your aim.

I really dig the SOG Twitch (I EDC Twitch II, but Twitch XL is SWEET!) and they are AO Lockbacks with a little heft to 'em.

I have a SOG Flash II that is a nice AO knife. Mine has a partially serrated blade and black handles. There are other blade options as well as a couple of different Camo handle options available for this knife.
I also have a SOG Mini-Vulcan that I LOVE. It is not AO but employs a flipper on the back of the blade to allow rapid deployment of the blade. It comes open about as quickly as the AO knives do and locks up solid utilizing the Arc-Lock system.
Buck makes some nice AO knives as well. The Buck Rush, Tempest, and Sirrus lines are worth a look.

Kershaw,SOG,Benchmade,Spyderco and Zero Tolerance......ZT's are a bit expensive.
There's so many its hard to pick just one.

I think I gotta say while not AO the Griptillian series by Benchmade have Arc Lock which is almost as fast....

I just caught this thread and I gotta agree with others here and say that Kershaw Leeks are mighty fine knives. I have carried this one for the last 2 years and still looks like this, took the pics about a minute ago.

If your question is does the finish wear off or change? Not if when you sharpen it, you do it right. I had to put a new tip on this cause I had bent it one day and had no trouble doing that.

I have used it probably ten times in the last 2 years, for the record. I do keep it in the fur lined pouch when I'm not carryin it.

Just for fun I thought I would toss an interesting knife into the AO mix. A polymer Collins (pic 1) that I picked up with some other "gimmie" stuff (pic 2) at one of the SHOT shows along the way.

Pointing to and laughing at pointy things are also paths to enjoyment!
