I have used my Buck 180 single blade now for 8 years.
I have only lighely sharpened it 4 times so far, but I do use a steel on here every mo.
I have a large hand so this 5" handle works well for me.
I like this knife so much I pick up one when I see a good price on it even thought I have about 30 of them. There are many kinds of 180s. Most with 2 blades but I like the ones with one blade the best.

Hi Justold52,

Like you I also like the old style 180 crosslock. I bought one years ago when the wife and I went to Great Lakes, IL to watch our son graduate form the Navy's boot camp out there. When we took our flight to IL, I had forgot to put my EDC in the travel bags and had to buy a new knife when we got on the ground. Then new knife was a 180 crosslock just like the black one in your photo. I fell in love with that knife and it became my main EDC for many years. I have some very fond tails centered around that knife ::tu::
