I found these today at a flea market. The first one is tang stamped HART cutlery co. New York. I had never heard of this brand. The second one is a Queen . The only markings are Queen Steel #62 etched on the blade. I Googled and couldn’t find a #62 so I don’t know if it’s a melon tester or what. It’s definitely long enough.

My book list the # 62 as a easy opener pattern. And the Hart knife is a old one, they were in buisness from 1893-1905. Good find there.

Thanks for the info. I guess this is now the oldest knife I own.

Fantastic find on your knives...You are fortunate that you have flea markets to find these jewels, where I live there is none...

Enjoy and thanks for sharing..

At my favorite one, about 30 min. from where I live, one dealer always has a selection of old knives. I don't know where he keeps finding them. You never know what he will have. I usually hit his table first.
