All About Pocket Knives

I have just recived 2 Parker Forest red bone jagged trapper dated 1978.
I paid $55.00 for each. Now after cleaning them with Ren Wax I find one has a small crack in the scale by the center pin. The seller told me if I was not happy to return it and he would refund my money.

Now I am asking here is the knife worth keeping or best to return because of the cracked handle. Is a knive this old worth much less because of the crack? or


Yes its a Parker Frost my keyboard made the mistake.

Is it Parker Forest or Parker Frost? I have never heard of Parker Forest. As for the crack, its a matter of personal opinion. I myself have knowingly and unknowingly bought a few older knives that have had a crack in the scales and I have kept them because I really liked the knife but I dont collect soley for the monetary value. I do know that a crack in the scales make a knife less than mint and a mint knife in most circumstances is worth more than a less than mint knife. I hope that helps you out. Anyway that is a nice knife I dont own any Parker Frost knives myself but I do have a couple of Parker Edwards.

Well just to let you all know. I refunded them and recived my $$ back too.
He now is trying to get some $$ from the Post Office Insurance for the damage to the knife with a crack in it. Well I hope he comes out ok. I allways insure when sending. But have only found is any good when they loose the Item.
