I am wanting to buy my fiance a case knife for my wedding gift. He has a few already and wants to collect more. I want to surprise his with a knife but need a little help. I have narrowed it down to the exotic black white jasper handle since our colors are black and white I thougt it would be sentimental. I just need help in picking a pattern. Shepperd Hills Cutlery only has the tiny trapper, the peanut, the small congress and doctor knife. Which would you pick in term of collectability to pass down our son in years to come. Thanks a bunch in advance. Im clueless and hoping you can help :)

I've found that most people don't care for the small patterns ( i personally love'em ). But if you are thinking about handing it down some day, go with the congress. 4-blades, a bit more to it than the other choices. The congress or peanut patterns have been around the longest, & would seem more desirable. The first knife I was ever handed down was a Case Congress. Hope my opinions help in yer decision. :)

This is called a "Slimlock" by Case. It comes in a variety of handle and blade materials. It's one of the finest Case knives ever produced (IMHO) and rumor has it that William Henry helped with the design.

Thanks a bunch. I was leaning toward the congress since it was a little larger.

Go with your gut (congress). That is a real cool thing to do and I'm sure it will be cherished!
